Are we just members or are we disciples?

We are called to be more and to deepen our relationship with Christ.  It is more than just the difference in sitting and actively doing.

Our primary relationship isn't with the church or even with each other but with Jesus.  We are all seekers and he leads the way.  To begin with I believe that the mission field doesn't just start outside the door but inside the church.  The role of each of us is to be the ministers of our God.  As our denomination proclaims the ministry of all believers so do we.

As we give of ourselves in this growing relationship we should dedicate ourselves to:

Praying daily

Scripture Reading daily

Worship Weekly

Grow in our giving in tithes and beyone

and

Tell our Faith Story with the unchurched... even those attending church.

A time of quiet peace.

Come anytime the building is open and find a quiet place to meditate and pray.

Pastor's Thoughts...

It has been a very busy two weeks with the promise to just keep getting busier... Praise God!

New work space has been created by Andrea with the Unity bookstore for our pastor and new office hours will soon be posted.

In the weeks ahead let us all remember how good God has been to us and how that goodness can spread like wildfire to create glorious things in our lives.

As our denomination, church and myself believe in many paths to God let us not forget that means as well that we must create motion to create change.  Our focus scripture for the month has been Phil: 4:13, I can do all things through the One who strengthens me.

My favorite scripture for years and yet God hit me with a 2X4 while I was talking with a friend this week.  Many of us forget the first part of that scripture, "I can do all things" and that means we, you and I can do all things... not that God is going to do them for us but God will give us the strength to get the job done.

May God of infinate wisdom bless all of you this week and may you receive peace in your lives.  Shalom!

God Bless!

Pastor Steve
